<![CDATA[Pemtec goes west]]> http://www.pemtec.com/news/pemtec-goes-west Thu, 29 Apr 2010 22:09:00 +0200 On Friday, April 30th, there will be many national speakers giving presentations on challenging and important sustainable topics. Demonstrations will be provided for regarding renewable energy, including solar and wind. Hands-on workshops will be offered along with a great display of eco-friendly vehicles.

Pemtec will present its patent pending Green Collector concept and some other products at the Swedish Cleantech booth. Also the new line of collectors for large scale storage of hot water from solar or industry will be promoted. "We have already a long list of interested corporations and institutions with whom we will have follow-up meetings in the coming week", says Björn Lindblom, Pemtec´s CEO, who is present in Arkansas to promote Pemtec´s unique line of products and solutions.

Behind GreenExpo is Wal-Mart, who has its headquarters in the region. As Wal-Mart has taken a lead in the development and focus on Cleantech and sustainability in the US, Arkansas has become an important Cleantech area. The ambition with the development of Green Valley is to make it a Cleantech area comparable to what Silicon Valley has been for the IT-development. Swedish know how and experience in the field will play an important role in this development. The business region and politicians of northwest Arkansas have worked actively to bring Swedish Cleantech knowledge into the region and also into other states in the US.

In January of this year, former Swedish Ambassador Michael M. Wood named the AR Green Valley as #2 of his most important achievements. Ambassador Wood considers twelve specific events and projects within the area of Cleantech to be the most significant highlights of his work to foster exchange of knowhow regarding alternative energy solutions between the United States and Sweden.
