Green Collector (patent pending)

Pemtec has developed the Green Collector and has filed a patent application for this product.

The system uses an energy capsule that holds water and effectively recovers geothermal energy. The most important advantages of this system are:

• Groundwater protection - preventing brine liquid from contaminating groundwater in case of leakage
• Potentially preventing ground water mixing between adjacent aquifer strata and salt-water intrusion in adjacent water wells

The Green Collector product is expected to become successful outside of Sweden, where today there are stricter groundwater protection regulations. In these countries bentonite is used at the moment, which is both costly and takes time to install. The Green Collector was introduced on the market in January 2009.
