Pemtec is a Swedish based company that develops, manufactures and sells ground-source heat pump collectors and complementary equipment for geothermal energy as well as polyethylene pipes for water and gas distribution. Our products are environmental friendly and of high quality.
This very common type of heat pump uses outside or exhaust air as energy source for heating, cooling and hot water.
This type of heat pumps has been exceptionally popular in Sweden since 1970s.
This design option is very similar to the vertical alternative.
If a water source is easily accessible, water-to-water design option is very attractive, as it requires no drilling and is highly efficient.
Geothermal energy, also referred to as shallow geothermal, is natural heat and cold stored in the underground. In addition a minor fraction of heat flow along the geothermal gradient (from the hot core of the Earth) is added.
The energy is used by a Geothermal Heat Pump (GHP), also called Ground Source Heat Pump, which takes this heat during the heating season at an efficiency approaching or exceeding 400%, and then, if cooling is used, return it during the cooling season. In residential homes however, most common solution is to use a GHP to provide heating and hot water.
